Abstract

Description

"The purpose of the project was to encourage students to push the limits of typography by transforming it from a flat printed form into an interactive and spatial experience. Through paper-based 3D constructions inspired by the work of Tatsuya Tanaka and his miniature worlds, students explored the relationship between typography, environment, and technology, bridging craftsmanship with innovation and rethinking how type can communicate in both physical and digital spaces. Students used Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Firefly, and ChatGPT, along with AI tools integrated within Adobe Creative Cloud. These digital tools were combined with manual construction, paper modeling, and photography to create a balance between traditional and contemporary design processes. "
