Abstract
Due to Kuwait’s natural environment, most Kuwaitis avoid going outside during the hotter months. When the temperatures reach mild levels, many leave their homes and set out to camp in the desert and enjoy the weather and the air. However, the citizens of the twenty-first century have needs that correspond with their modern lifestyle; in this case, electrical energy. Living in the era of enhanced information and technology means that electric energy powers up everything we use in our day-to-day life, from big things like heaters to small things like smartphones. The conventional solution is to use a diesel generator, which is known to produce both air and noise pollution. On the other hand, a more modern solution would be to harvest solar energy using solar panels, but those come with the disadvantage of being unwieldy and difficult to set up. This project aims to create a Automatic Portable Solar Panel that can be mounted anywhere, such as on the boot of a car or in the middle of the desert, and used with a simple on and off button. This system will have a GPS tracker and sensors that can help the panels adjust their angle to reach maximum efficiency; we also intend to have a local mobile application that will track the rate at which the panels charge and check the available amount of energy in the panel’s batteries and for how long it can be used to help users monitor and analyze power consumption and production
